of wall cap both 40 foot each I used the forms as directed by the seller screwing down every 3-4 inches with 4” screws poured using pro5000 mix concrete from lowes tap forms gently with hammer as pouring to get rid of air pockets easy to strip pealed right off the next day I tired Pam cooking spray on forms on other pours and it made no difference i put relief cuts every 5 feet the forms were very easy to use around radius areas and flows very nicely

and clean. I drove screws directly through the moulding backed up by wood as well. Detached from concrete very easily. Great stuff for a first time user of any type of concrete and moulding. I used Quikrete Countertop mix with NForce fiber and #3 rebar as reinforcement. There are some bug holes around the edge, and I used a pencil vibrator too, but I will be filling those in with some leftover fine particles mixed into a slurry and then fill those in, and this is typical from what I have researched. But, the edges look absolutely realistic with a lot of detail.

ck but am just now starting to use them. Pour concrete in afternoon and blocks set overnight. Blocks are very easy to release from mold and cleanup is a breeze. I'm trying to perfect the ration of concrete to water for the exact amounts to make the two blocks. My guess is that it takes about 15-20 minutes to mix the concrete and pour into the mold.I now need to get a cheaper source of concrete than the 60 pound bags I'm buying now. At this rate I save about a $1.00 on each block which is not that great. I'll go to the 80 pound bags next and save even more.

se I wasn't sure how many I would need for each 80 lb bag (Turns out someone else asked later and it's 6.6, so it's a good thing that I'm making walkway stones as well). I took out my first four today, and they came out really easy, and have a really nice look to them. My mixer only holds 1 - 80 lb bag at a time, and I wanted to have multicolored stones. I'll add pictures later, but they set up really nice and came out really well. Even the wife is happy with them.

iginally bought 3 molds because someone said an 80lb bag would do six blocks... I found out that the 11.5 blocks I get 2 molds or 4 blocks total. I got one more so I can do 8 blocks a day. It’s extremely simple to use... just mix fill and let them sit over night. Buy concrete in bulk at 3.45 an 80 lb bag and it cost $0.86 per brick compaired to the $2.60 per at HD. Oh yeah, the release of these molds is amazing! Some of the other molds I’ve used require a release agent to get these bad boys out. All I’ve had to do with these molds is flip them upside down, and pull the mold off like a glove. Final product comes out very nice!

rtor or it will snap in two. I added wire to the rebar and used it to aid in attaching to side of building while the mortor set. Stained concrete with concrete stain paint. That way it is always a consistent color. Will add pics when done with project.

used it about 10times and each one came out perfect! I used a releasing agent the first time because I have plastic molds and you must on those but the second time I didn't and it worked just as good.

countertop with a decorative edge a breeze, This was my first concrete countertop and it came out phenomenally. I have now reused for five pours for my summer kitchen and bar countertops. I used boards secured behind the edge just to keep my lines straight. That worked well Another tip - use torx-head screws to secure & place a dab of petroleum jelly in each screw head. Makes post-concrete removal a breeze. I had to learn the hard way.

0% less $$ than what most stores sell rubber molds for. They are very durable and the quality is there for sure. I have made about 20 so far and have to say I see these molds lasting for 1000's of castings!!

Compared to other molds I've been trying, these are better and more durable.The rubber seemed cumbersome and heavy to me at first, but the finished stone pops right out; you don't run into the same issues that you do with cheaper plastic molds. It's much easier to get a result that looks much more like authentic stone.They're also easier to clean off afterwards (which is something you have to consider--any residual concrete will result in a less authentic effect next time), because of the flexibility of the rubber.Also, the fact that they're rubber, not plastic makes them a lot harder to break (and I've kinda tried. Lol).

to make stones, but this rubber mold is the best of the best. I highly recommend this product. Do not be fooled regarding the hard plastic molds or some of the others being sold, which are made from lower-quality materials. Again, I highly recommend this product.

cks for my custom paintings. My customers are amazed that these were made from a mold. I use white mortar mix for stucco Type S and they dry so very hard. For my rock painting I take out of after 48 hrs and round out the 90 degree edge to make it more complete rocklike. If I wait any longer then 2 days it's more difficult to shape that rounded edge. Highly pleased and so easy. Love this rubber mold.

s so cool! I purchased in beginning of summer. Living at the shore, we've got sand, but no rocks to be found. So to edge along the back garden I began mixing Quikcrete from H.Depot in buckets. The mold has 7 diff. shapes. I bought the brown cement dye adding just a little each load so all rocks wouldn't look the same color.(bottle says use all per bag of cement...I've used 5 bags of cement and still have dye left) I've made 158 rocks to date, looking to make more. Friends thought they were real rocks! Pour on batch at 7am, firm enough to pull out of molds by 2, next batch ready in 6-7 hours. I highly recommend!! *****

d I am completely satisfied with all three corner river rock molds. I’ve purchased and salvaged several lots of faux river rock veneer but I am short on corners for the tapered columns that I am currently facing. It’s exciting to cast my own corner stones for the first time. I wondered if they would actually come out of the molds properly without the use of a mold release agent. Yes they do! I’m experimenting with various small aggregate cement mixtures and so far they have all produced a strong and great looking corner stone.

I bought three of these (different models, 1 - 2 - 5) and they are awesome! The molds are very durable and honestly they are a lot bigger than I was expecting.Due to the size of the stones cast, the molds are QUITE heavy, so be aware. But this is not a downside, the mold walls feel quite stable.10/10 would buy again and probably will. One person found this helpful

f the molds just because I wanted to mix bigger and smaller stones. So far they have been very durable. I made 6 batches using both and had no problems. This is def the cheaper route since veneer stones are so expensive, its a lot cheaper to buy a big bag of portland cement and make your own. After a couple of batches I experimented a little and to change the size of the stones would put cardboard in a middle of one of the molds so it would be half the size and that works. I've also cut pieces of wood the size of the molds and slightly pressed down on the cement to give myself a corner piece. Not sure how durable its going to be long term but I am able to give myself custom corner pieces with just cardboard and a spare piece of wood. I recommend getting dyes and mixing just a little in each batch. Also I took a power sander and removed the pads just to vibrate the mold to get air bubbles out.

is will be the 3rd one I've bought. (because of look) I would recommend something to get bubbles out, it is common. Either put on a plate and vibrate plate or take a sander with pad off and just run along sides. Also I've been playing with combination of mixes and surprisingly little dabs of wood stain in mix make some interesting colors.

rks good. The only thing i wish they did was make the bottom mold with a flange or a stopper. When you apply concrete on the short side it will just fall out so what i did was make a 2x4 rectangular frame and slide the small side into that so it will work. 2 people found this helpful
